On October 12th we're bringing together all the block club signs we created this summer for a juxtaposition of old and new. We're bringing together the members and presidents of our partner block clubs for unity. We're bringing together Chicago.
The new era of Chicago Block Club Signs matches the message of a new era. One of aspiration, effort, and inclusion. Instead of no loitering and no loud music, the new signs say yes to community, yes to compassion, yes to dignity, and yes to unity.
Signs created this summer were designed by Chicago youth, based on block club input, facilitated by UChicago's DAP Program, and funded with support from Chicago Bungalow Association & the Field Foundation of Illinois.
Come out to learn of the history and importance of block clubs, connect with Chicagoans from every corner of the city, and if you're moved please support our work.
